We welcomed back Fitness Freddy to take us through some moves to improve our health and wellbeing. We had great fun keeping active and showing off our dance moves!
We had a great day raising money for children in need. We wore our pyjamas to school and raised over £325! Thank you to anyone who donated money. It is really appreciated.
The Big Bedtime Story Event starts on Monday 13th November.
Please read the attached flyer for more information.
The NI Commissioner for Children and Young People, Chris Quinn, visited our school today. He heard from our principal, Mr Wright, about how we support our children with additional educational needs.
We were very pleased to welcome the Commissioner to show him all the wonderful ways we support and care for our children.
Many thanks to the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service for coming to school to speak to our P5 children about the importance of fire safety at home and what to do when a fire occurs.
Well done to the children who won the prizes for our Money Week competition!
The children designed Piggy Banks, Money Boxes and Credit Cards.
As part of Harvest this year, we collected food for Storehouse.
Thank you to everyone who donated sugar or any canned foods. The donation was received with many thanks and will help families around Belfast.
During Money Week, our school organised various activities to help us learn money management and financial capability. We played different money games, took part in role-play scenarios and attended a Moneysense workshop.
P7Ritchie had a great start to money week by being Fraud Scene Investigators. This workshop was facilitated by Gillian Candless from Ulster Bank. The children learnt what fraud and identity theft looks like and measures to prevent it.
The P7 children took part in a Victorian Dress Up day and got the opportunity to explore what life was like for children in school during the Victorian time. They took part in a drill, completed some observational drawings and were treated to inspections by their teachers!
