P6C had a great morning with Household Belfast exploring how we play in the city. The children were able to demonstrate new and creative ways to play in the city through drawing.

Published 27/06/24A group of 4 P7's were very fortunate to get weekly support with their Numeracy through the Time2Count programme. A group of volunteers from the Caterpillar team in the Springvale Facility supported the children using maths games they purchased to help build confidence and ability. The children really enjoyed these sessions.

Published 21/06/24The P5 children had a great day at the Ulster Museum which was connected to their learning about Egypt. They got the chance to see Takabuti, a real mummy, and explore the museum.

Published 19/06/24Sports Day for P1 - P7 was held this week, and it was great to see so many spectators coming along to watch. The children competed in a range of races, including: sprint, relay, obstacle and spud and spoon.

Published 15/06/24Every year, the P7 year group embark on creating a business with the support of Young Enterprise. This helps develop real life skills and includes a focus on the skills of communication, teamwork, decision making, problem solving, ICT skills, creative thinking and digital skills.
This year, 4 pupils from P7 Ritchie and P7 McDaid were very fortunate to have the experience of real life selling in Castle Court at the Young Enterprise mini market on Friday 14th June. The children performed really well and made lots of money alongside developing lifelong skills.
The P7 McDaid team got an award for creating a sustainable product and the entrepreneurial skills displayed by P7 Ritchie awarded them Entreprenurial Spirit.

Published 10/06/24The P7 children enjoyed a two-night stay at the Delamont Outdoor Learning Centre. The children got to have a go at: river walking, rock climbing, archery, night-line walking and speed-boating!
A great few days to mark the end of their time at Glenwood!
